My name is Simon Hastings and Mooma Media is the name of my bespoke content creation business. I provide video production, event filming, live streaming, and photography services. My target audience is both businesses and non-commercial organisations in the Black Country and wider West Midlands region. I am keen to work with the education sector, in particular, as this has always been a very important part of my working life.
What is Mooma media?
I started Mooma Media after many years of working part-time as a photographer and videographer. While doing this I was also teaching photography and media production in a local high school. My experience as a photographer and videographer dates back to the 1980s. This is when darkrooms prevailed and Umatic video cameras, the size of suitcases, walked the Earth. A while ago, I decided to leave the world of teaching behind forever and to spend the remaining years of my working life doing what I love. I aim to meet the needs of individuals, smaller businesses, charities, and local public sector organisations, in developing their online promotional media.

Why Mooma?
You may be wondering about the name, Mooma. It’s the very first discernible word that my son uttered, and it sort of stuck as a pet name for my wife. So, I guess he’s to blame. I could have wracked my brain trying to think of some clever play on words related to photography or video production. But instead, I decided to go with something a little more personal, so Mooma Media it is.
